Syndrome of Inappropriate Antidiuretic Hormone

Antidiuretic Hormone ADH
Produced by the Hypothalamus
Secreted by the Posterior Pituitary Gland
Works on the Kidney Tubules

Diuresis= Means to Pee or To Urine
Antidiuretic= Not peeing or not urinating; therefore retaining fluid
ADH or Antidiuretic Hormone stops you from urinating or makes you retain fluids
So, you retain fluid, just like the poor guy above who appears to be drowning in water
Or the poor girl who is Submerged in Water. Think Submerge in water=SIADH. Both start with "S"
