This is why pregnant women should get the varicella vaccine. Pregnant women get tested for varicella antibodies. If they don't have antibodies, then they get the vaccine after they give birth to prevent congenital anomalies.
3 doses: within 24 hours of birth, at 1 to 2 months, and last dose at 6 to 18 months.
Know your vaccine schedule. Also, in case you did not know, the usually varicella vaccine dose is 0.5 mL. It seems like most vaccines are 0.5 mL/dose. Alwasy remember that you must ask whether the child/client has a history of a reaction prior to administration.

Jaundice usually occurs with liver failure. It would not be a side effect but a serious adverse effect. Varicella is not associated with liver failure.

Remember that the age limit for the rotavirus vaccine is 1 year. The age restriction was created by the risk of intussusception. The vaccine is given orally. There are 3 doses of the vaccines and should be given at least 6 weeks apart. Again, rotavirus vaccine is not given to children over 1 year!
