Causes

Bariatric Surgery
Gastric Bypass
Gastrojejunostomy (Billroth Procedure)
Partial Gastrectomy
Anything that causes rapid gastric emptying

Symptoms

Vasomotor symptoms
Flushing
Nausea & Vomiting
Abdominal Fullness
Tachycardia/Hypotension
Sweating/Dizziness
Urge to defecate

Prevention

Small Frequent Meals
No fluids during meals
Lie down for 30 minutes after meals
Low carbohydrate, High protein diet
Acarbose: ↓ Carb absorption
