  • Myasthenic Crisis: Exacerbation when muscles that controls breathing are too weak leading to respiratory failure. CAUSE: Not enough Anticholinesterease meds, stress, surgery, or infection.
  • Cholinergic Crisis: Receiving too much anticholinesterase meds leading to muscles becoming overworked and weak!
  • Safety: High risk for aspiration: thick liquids, small bites
  • Safety: Monitor breathing #1
  • Safety: Assess swallowingu00a0
  • Safety: Assess vision: high risk for falls.
  • Safety: Major activities and meals in the morning when energy is at its highest
